BHV, or Bedrijfshulpverlening, is the Dutch term for Company Emergency Response which is designed to unite us in safeguarding our workplaces and hospitality establishments. BHV Day focuses on enhancing safety protocols and equipping everyone with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in unexpected situations.

Emergency Response Day: A Day of Preparedness

BHV Day is a dedicated occasion to enhance safety measures, train staff, and ensure the safety and well-being of guests. Here’s what you can do to ensure your team is well prepared in case of an emergency, such as fires, medical incidents, or other crises-

Emergency Plan Review: Gather your staff members to review the company’s emergency response plan, with a dedicated focus on guest safety. This ensures that everyone understands their role in maintaining a secure environment.

Guest Evacuation Drills: Conduct evacuation drills to ensure that both staff and guests are well-prepared and familiar with the necessary actions in case of an emergency.

First Aid Training: Provide your employees with training in crucial first aid skills to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.

Safety Awareness: Host safety awareness sessions for guests, highlighting the importance of their active participation in maintaining a secure environment during their stay. Ensure clear identification of escape routes by providing a map in every room.
